John Mittens – Director & Deputy President
John has spent decades at senior executive board level, managing major technical projects and the successful development of both start-up and established international businesses. His success has been based upon his ability to build winning cross-culture teams and create complimentary commercial partnerships. He has a broad knowledge of international business development and bringing new products into emerging markets.
He spent 16 years with Cable and Wireless, undertaking project management and business development programmes in numerous countries. He was the Chairman of the C&W’s global electronic messaging council and Managing Director of 20MX, an international call routing and arbitrage service across North America and Europe.
He cofounded Interoute Group Plc and as the Group’s executive chairman initiated the building of the largest fibre optic network in Europe, covering 80 cities and 17,000 miles of broadband fibre cables. During this period, he was also co-founder of First National: the largest stored value calling card company in the UK. He subsequently established Global Internet Billing; an international web-based billing service and was a founding shareholder of Boost Mobile in Australia and the USA.
He has spent recent years developing advanced blockchain payment solutions in Europe, USA and the Caribbean and presently has business interests in a Caribbean development project and ecologically safe water supplies and management.
